Info | Bob Mills wants to serve his fellow Missourians as State Representative for the 151st District (the West Plains, Willow Springs, Mountain View area).
Service to his country and fellow citizens is a way of life to Bob. After graduating West Point (Class of ’68, BS in engineering) he trained at both airborne and ranger school before being assigned to Vietnam. Bob served his country as an artillery officer and systems analyst. After retiring from the Army in 1989 (and earning a Stanford MS in industrial engineering along the way,) he became a federal civil servant until retiring in 1995.
Born and raised in North Carolina, Bob has called Missouri home since 1980. In 1996, he and his wife Susan moved to Howell County. They attend church there at Old Paths Baptist Church. Bob and Susan have raised three sons.
For relaxation, Bob enjoys rifle and pistol target shooting, camping, reading, and long walks with his dog, Hannah.
Retirement has given Bob a chance to serve in new capacities. He has been an adult volunteer with the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts and a member of the West Plains Soccer Association. Currently he’s the State Chairman of the Missouri League of the South and volunteers time to the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program.
By running for State Representative, Bob continues his life of service. He seeks to give his neighbors a chance to break the stranglehold that the Democrats and Republican have on the American people:
“In his farewell address, George Washington warned against over-infatuation with party affiliation. For too long, Americans have been forced to choose the “lesser of two evils.” The Constitution Party will allow voters the opportunity to choose a candidate that more nearly reflects their values rather than being forced to “hold their nose” and vote for either the Republican or the Democratic wing of the single national party.”
