| Info | Rep. Tishaura O. Jones, a Democrat, represents Downtown St. Louis City, and several neighborhoods south of Downtown (District 63) in the Missouri House of Representatives.
In addition to her legislative duties, Rep. Jones is employed as Director of Public Policy and Sr. Human Resources Consultant at People's Health Centers. She has more than 10 years of experience as a healthcare administrator.
Rep. Jones is a member of the St. Louis Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and attends Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church. She has served as Chair of the Public Policy Initiative of the Urban League Young Professionals of Metropolitan St. Louis and as 8th Ward Democratic Committeewoman from 2002-2008. In 2004, she represented Missouri as an Alternate Delegate to the Democratic National Convention. In 2005, she was selected to represent the United States as an International Delegate for the American Council of Young Political Leaders during a trip to Israel and the Palestinian Territories.
A 1990 graduate of Affton Senior High School, Rep. Jones received a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Hampton University in 1994 and a master’s degree in Health Administration from the Saint Louis University School of Public Health in 2001.
Rep. Jones is the daughter of former St. Louis City Comptroller, Virvus Jones.
Born March 10, 1972 in St. Louis, Rep. Jones currently resides there with her son, Aden.
