| Info | Juanita Maldonado is a community leader who stands up for health care, the arts and the environment.
For many years, Juanita worked on the front lines of Hamilton’s health care system as a caseload coordinator. Faced with the Harris-style McGuinty funding cuts, she did everything in her power to ensure that patients got the home care they needed. As a leader in her union, Juanita fought for better health services for working families across Ontario.
Today, Juanita continues to serve her community as the constituency assistant to Wayne Marston, Member of Parliament. As well, she is the music director for the 200-year-old Ryerson United Church. Every Sunday, Juanita uses the training she got at the University of Toronto to conduct a choir of 28 singers.
Born and raised in Hamilton, Juanita lives in Westdale with her two children. If she is elected on October 10th, the people of Ancaster-Dundas-Flamborough-Westdale can count on Juanita to put working families first and be a straight-talking representative at Queen’s Park.
