Ogonowski's brother, John Ogonowski, was the pilot of American Airlines Flight 11 on September 11, 2001 and died in the attacks.
A native of Dracut, Ogonowski has served in the United States Air Force for the past 28 years and was a Lt. Colonel. He retired in May.
