| Info | Nate Pulliam was born in 1955 in Newnan, Georgia to an Army family. His father is from Covington, Georgia, and his mother from Newnan. He grew up on Army posts in the United States and Europe. In 1973, upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the Army.
Following graduation from basic training at Fort Dix, NJ, he was assigned to the U.S. Military Academy Prep School at Fort Belvoir, VA. In 1974 he entered the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY, graduating in 1978 as a second lieutenant.
He served at various posts in the United States, Europe, and Korea, retiring from the Regular Army in 1997.
From 1997 through 2005 he was a real estate broker in Georgia. In 2005 he volunteered for recall to active duty to serve in Iraq, and was in Iraq as an advisor to the 6th Iraqi Army Infantry Division from November 2005 through November 2006. He returned to his real estate business in Georgia in November 2006 after release from active duty.
His education includes a B.S. from the U.S. Military Academy and an M.B.A. from Columbus State University.
Nate is married to Patty Pulliam, who is a public school teacher. They have been married since 1983, and have two children. Their daughter, Katie, is a cadet at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Their son, Nathan, is a junior in high school.
