Info | EBERHARTER, Herman Peter, a Representative from Pennsylvania; born in Pittsburgh, Pa., April 29, 1892; attended Holy Trinity parish school, Morehead School and Fifth Avenue High School; during the First World War served in the United States Army as a private in the Twentieth Infantry and was commissioned as a second lieutenant; was graduated from Duquesne University Law School, Pittsburgh, Pa., in 1925; was admitted to the bar the same year and commenced practice in Pittsburgh, Pa.; was a member of the Officers’ Reserve Corps with rank of captain; member of the State house of representatives in 1935 and 1936; elected as a Democrat to the Seventy-fifth and to the ten succeeding Congresses and served from January 3, 1937, until his death; had been renominated to the Eighty-sixth Congress; died in Arlington, Va., September 9, 1958; interment in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pa.
