Info | Bill Graham is a successful businessman, a practicing attorney and a devoted family man committed to conservative change in North Carolina.
Bill is also a founding member of the Board of Directors of Community Bank of Rowan and is a partner in the Wallace and Graham Law Firm. His latest business venture is developing an insurance product for people in the event that they lose their jobs. A committed conservative, Bill has been a strong supporter of The Jesse Helms Center, where he currently serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors, and is an active member in the American Conservative Union. Bill served on the U.S. Agriculture Committee for Senator Jesse Helms. Bill has also contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Republican Party and to conservative candidates from the Courthouse to the White House. He has been recognized for his willingness to give money to conservatives on behalf of conservative candidates and causes.
Bill Graham recently spearheaded one of the largest grassroots movements in North Carolina history, which brought 75,000 North Carolinians forward to sign a petition and 1,000 people to a downtown rally in Raleigh. The Raleigh News & Observer recently wrote that Graham’s “crusade against the state gas tax has hit a nerve across North Carolina.” Governor Easley was forced to cap the gas tax and as a result North Carolina taxpayers will save $159 million in 2007.
Bill Graham’s leadership in speaking out on key issues has not gone unnoticed. According to the Dunn Daily Record, Graham “has shown he's not afraid to rattle the establishment on an issue important to North Carolinians.” Graham has established a frontrunner status for the GOP nominations by leading all public polls against other potential candidates.
A native of Harnett County, Bill graduated from Dunn High School, received a Bachelor of Arts from Catawba College, and earned a law degree from Antioch University, finishing at Wake Forest University. He currently serves on the Catawba College Board of Trustees. A former prosecutor, Bill served on the North Carolina Rules Review Commission, is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and formerly served as Secretary of the Cabarrus County Board of Elections.
Bill Graham resides in Salisbury with his wife, Shari, and their two children.
