Info | Todd Tibbetts, 40, has been a resident of Georgia for 40 years and has lived in Forsyth County for over ten years. Born in 1965, he grew up in Tucker, Georgia, going to school in DeKalb County and graduating from Shamrock High School in 1983.
Todd graduated from Berry College in Rome in 1988 with a degree in business and accounting. He has been involved in multiple entrepreneurial business ventures over the past 20 years.
A Technology Entrepreneur
Todd currently has two companies, Tibbetts Technologies and Georgia Telegration. Tibbetts Technologies provides consulting and technology services across a wide-range of industries. He also is the CEO of Georgia Telegration, a telecom and technology company that specializes in converging, migrating and integrating telecommunications systems to emerging technologies, including Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
In 2003, Governor Sonny Perdue chose Todd to serve on the Governor’s Technology/Telecom Task Force. As a Task Force member, he worked with CEO’s, technology experts and government leaders to help Governor Perdue forge his technology strategy for Georgia.
Todd in politics
It was while Todd was in high school that he first became interested in politics, following Ronald Reagan’s campaign for president. Four years later, when President Reagan ran for re-election, instead of just watching the campaign, this time Todd campaigned for the re-election of President Reagan.
Realizing how important getting involved is, Todd became active in the Georgia Republican Party and the Republican National Committee (RNC). His first involvement in a state-wide campaign was in 1992 when he volunteered for Paul Coverdell in his successful U.S. Senate campaign.
Since then, Todd has served in numerous campaigns including Sonny Perdue for Governor, Saxby Chambliss for U.S. Senate, John Linder for Congress, and Johnny Isakson for U.S. Senate. He has also worked on multiple U.S. Senate, Congressional, State Senate, State House and other conservative campaigns and activities.
When Governor Sonny Perdue announced his campaign for Governor of Georgia, he called Todd, asking him to chair Forsyth County Perdue for Governor. Todd accepted, contributed, and worked hard for a New Georgia in multiple activities all over the state. In 2004, Todd worked as Chair for the Forsyth Bush Cheney 2004 and campaigned for other Republican leaders throughout Georgia.
Todd is in the Class of 2005 of the coveted Coverdell Leadership Institute. He is also in the leadership of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), is a supporter of the Alliance Defense Fund, and is in leadership roles and active in many other conservative organizations.
