Info | Jim Jackson was raised in Richmond, Missouri, attended Missouri State University where he graduated with a degree in marketing. He owned and operated Jackson’s Appliance Center for over 28 years and has developed property across Missouri for the past 15 years. Community involvement is important to Jackson. In 1992 he was appointed to the Warrensburg City Council and then went on to seek election in 1993 and was reelected in 1996, serving as mayor from 1997 to the end of his term. He has been active in leadership as President of Johnson County Economic Development Corporation, interim President of Central Missouri Development Corporation and President of Johnson County Habitat for Humanity.
Jackson and his wife Kathy, who teaches at Martin Warren Elementary School, have three children: Jessica and Ben Angelette and grandson Jack of London, England; Rachel of Kansas City, MO; and Tyler of Cairns, Australia.
