Helen knows what issues matter to working Canadians. Working during the day and taking classes at night school, Helen worked hard to build a career for herself and a better life for her family. Prior to her retirement, Helen worked in the retail, wholesale, manufacturing, and airlines industries. She also worked as a computer system designer.
A strong social conscience and genuine commitment to her community have led Helen to volunteer with a number of community organizations. She has volunteered for Big Brothers, Parents Without Partners, Air Cadets, the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, and St. Alphonses Church and School Board to name just a few.
Helen is widowed and has a son who currently serves with the Canadian Forces.
