InfoBorn in 1954, entrepreneur Mike Scott owns and manages a construction business. Prior to owning his own business, Mike worked as a papermaker, planer mill worker, and in the construction industry. He is also the former president and vice-president of the Kitimat Chamber of Commerce.

During his years as the Member of Parliament for the riding of Skeena, Mike amassed a wealth of political experience. As the Reform Party’s Critic for Fisheries and Oceans, Mike fought against such issues as the government’s enormous increase in licence fees for fishermen and the coast guard marine service fee schedule. He also served as the Reform/Canadian Alliance Critic of Indian Affairs and Northern Development.

Mike is married to Sylive, and together they are the proud parents of daughter Tobi.
