| Info | I am married to Maureen, an adoption consultant, and we have two adult children. We have lived in the riding for 14 years and prior to that we lived in both northern Ontario and southern Ontario.
I decided to run for the Green Party because I believe we as Canadians need to place a greater emphasis on protecting our environment by such action as supporting the family farms which will produce safe and secure foods. We need to lower taxes so the tax rates match the requirements of providing our public services and the government does not end up giving our own money back to us in frivolous expenditures. I support a strong prevention-first health care system, whereby we place more emphasis on preventing diseases rather than spending money on curing them afterwards.
I offer the voters three qualities I think are important to an elected official. These are, (1) Service; the prime purpose of an elected representative is to serve their constitutes and their country. (2) Integrity; I believe we need to do our jobs with integrity otherwise we will, as a nation, quickly become a third world democracy. (3) Dedication; If elected, I promise to do my best for the riding and for our country.
