Info | The son of a working class family – dad was firefighter, mom was secretary and homemaker – an always energetic Brantford kid who worked his way through school working at factories and the John Noble Home in order to make ends meet. A true Brantford kid, Phil’s determination and hard work led to a hockey scholarship before pouring his energy into a family start-up business that took off, McColeman Brothers Contracting, Ltd..
Today, Phil devotes time to charitable causes, community work, and of course his true passion in life – his wonderful family. Never at a loss for energy, Phil’s can-do attitude has made a positive impact to Brant worth sharing: vice chair of the Brant Police Services Board, past president of the Lansdowne Children Center, Governor of Laurier University Brantford Campus, and most recently, the immediate past co-chair of Brant United Way.
