Surge of support (now +10 seats) for KOK while Sanna Marin's SDP allies - the Greens, the Left Alliance, the Centre Party (particularly, the Centre Party) - are taking a bit of a beating. Marin may have some difficulty coalition-building.

Finns will probably gain some support once Election Day votes come in.

You are right, IndyG. The Finns Party now hold an estimated 44 seats with 65% in. A surprise. A KOK/Finns/CD/Movement Now coalition may be on the table, yet I somehow doubt Marin can be uprooted. She's consistently above 60% in popularity (even if her party averages 20%). She may squeak by.

Has the joining of NATO been a campaign issue or is it impacting results? With Turkey's approval right before the election it seemed pretty timely.

To give you an indication of how big the Finns Party surge wound up being, the Finns Party took 9 out of the 13 electoral districts of Finland (one district is strictly for Ă…land parties, so it is actually 9 out of 12). The National Coalition took Helsinki, and the SDP took Central Finland and South-East Finland.

Brent, I don't think NATO was a campaign issue since it appears that entry is close to universally supported in Finland [Link]
