Seems like an upset and a probably a pretty big relief for the Maori party as if I recall a comment or article on this board previously they were expecting to lose all their seats.

Yeah, I didn't think the Māori Party would get back into Parliament. Would have been incredibly damaging for the Party to be out of Parliament for six years.
If they hold on to this electorate seat, they may be able to pick up a list seat but that would require them to get 1.25% of the vote.
