Remember: Gantz' speakership only lasts until this new unity government is finalized and launched. The seat may rotate right back to former Speaker Edelstein, who quite honorably resigned rather than adhere to a problematic Supreme Court decision (this decision has produced more crooked eyebrows than any other in the history of the Supreme Court).
The 'deal' is quite splendid for Gantz; Speaker with immediate effect, Vice Premier AND Minister of Defense or Foreign Secretary under Netanyahu, THEN Prime Minister starting in September 2021.
Gantz gets all the marbles, and like Chancey Gardener, all he had to do was show up to get them.
