That wasn't enough, though. He had to plant in 43 'independent' cronies, and scatter the bone and scrap remainder to a further 8 lackey-parties. He even felt impelled to pull away the sole seat won by the Republican Alternative Party, his only 'real' opponent, at the last millisecond. No complaints from his 100% controlled press. Just glowing reports of a 'free' 'democratic' election from foreign hack 'observers' and conga lines of congratulations from fellow despots blasted on the front pages.
