Something to note ever since Nicolae Ceaușescu's (in my view rather vicious and unnecessary) execution in 1989. Every single minority in Romania, from Armenians to Russians (19, by my count), is represented by its own political party and has reserved for it at least one seat in Romania's Chamber of Deputies. I think no other country does this.
How this canvas of ethnic imaging is drawing out would be an interesting topic for a doctoral thesis.
