Monique Chandler-Waterman has been endorsed by Jumaane D. Williams, the former City Council member representing the 45th District who is now the Public Advocate of NYC (2nd most powerful elected office in NYC). Chandler-Waterman is also endorsed by Assembly members Nick Perry and Robert Carroll, state senators Kevin Parker and Zellnor Myrie, City Councilmembers Antonio Reynoso, Brad Lander and Laurie Cumbo. Chandler-Waterman is endorsed by community organizations and progressive groups (Make The Road Action, New York Communities for Change, Working Families Party and Amplify Her) as well as unions including Service Employees International Union LOCAL 32BJ, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees DISTRICT COUNCIL 37
Farah Louis has been endorsed by Assemblywoman Rodneyse Bichotte, who is a strong supporter and rumored to be running Farah's campaign. Louis is also endorsed by Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, head of the Kings machine Frank Seddio, State Senator James Sanders Jr, Assembly Members Helene Weinstein, Jaime Williams, Michaelle Solages, Clyde Vanel and Kimberly Jean-Pierre. She has been endorsed by Council Members Justin Brannan and Helen Rosenthal -- as well as six District Leaders (one - Lew Fidler - who died in early May). Farah is endorsed by political clubs including Lambda Independent Democrats, Brooklyn Young Democrats, Bay Democrats, Stonewall Democratic Club of NYC and Jim Owles Liberal Democratic Club. (The latter two are LGBTQ+ political clubs, which endorsed her before news broke about the homophobic tweets that Louis wrote in 2009.) She has the support of unions, including PSC CUNY, Teamsters Local 237, CWA Local 1109 and Public Employee Federation (PEF).
Farah also has the support of Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition, which the only Jewish candidate in the race -- who was called out in the letter as a spoiler -- pushed back on. Stephen Witt wrote for Kings County Politics that "while [the FJCC] acts very accommodating towards non-Jewish females, it appears to restrict orthodox Jewish females from participating in their meetings and gatherings."
The only Jewish candidate in the race (an orthodox Jewish woman named Adina Sash) pushed back on this endorsement saying to Kings County Politics that “she [Louis] knows that she is exploiting that weakness within the community. It’s one thing to take out ads in Jewish papers and go into the community, but to sign off and have your funds allowing a patriarchal organization to illegitimize me and to paint me as having zero chance and not being a viable candidate. She’s supposed to be into empowering females and girls. I can’t believe she signed off on wording written so evilly and quite misleading.”

Louis & Chandler-Waterman are both viewed as frontrunners in this race.
