I've been hearing ultra liberal voters do not like McAdams. He could possibly face a primary challenge from one of these candidates. We will see

What are the convention rules? How much support does a candidate need to get at the convention ot make it on the primary?

There aren't many Democrats in Utah, but many of those who are are very liberal. Almost all live in Salt Lake City.

Salt Lake City also has a big LGBTQ community. I don't know why they would choose to live in Utah.

With 4.7 percent of Salt Lake City’s adult population identifying as LGBT, the state capital now rates as one of the top 10 places where LGBT people live in the United States. Ranking between the Los Angeles and Boston metro areas, Salt Lake City comes in at No. 7 in population percentage on a list of top 50 U.S. metro areas for the LGBT community - [Link]

Brent-a candidate must get 60%+ to avoid a primary. Though you can also now collect signatures but I’m not sure anyone outside or McAdams is doing that.

And Randy is exactly right. Utah democrats are probably a half and half mix of moderate Mormons and very liberal SLC democrats
