Love's approval-disapproval rating is 50/50, but Owens is more well known,so this poll is more substantial than early polls last time.

Don't believe the Survey USA Poll. Days later, poll shows Trump-Clinton tied in Utah. Both are heavily against the grain of past polling and perception here in Utah. Love probably is up by the high single digits at this point. It could change, obviously, but I'd say she still has the edge.

It wasn't the first poll showing Clinton tied or beating Trump in Utah. Mormons really don't like him - including Mitt Romney who has been very vocal against Trump.

That said, the presidential polls also have a large number of undecided voters who will probably hold their noses and vote for Trump in the end.

That's what I have been seeing: Mormons hate Trump, but they despise HRC. And since most are Republicans, they probably will just tow the party line. just as much I am voting for Clinton, but I'd say that the poll that shows Trump +13 is more accurate than the one suggesting a tie. Plus, all those polls showing Clinton with a lead/tie were taken before Trump clinched, and I believe most Utah Republicans have held their noses to support Trump since he became the nominee.

i'm suspecting Mormons in rural areas are gonna be stronger for Trump than Mormons in urban/suburban areas. That might show up on a map a little since Utah County usually gives Republicans 85%.

You'd be surprised. The more fringe conservatives in Utah are mostly from Utah County, and I don't think any of them will vote for Hillary. Alas, they are all Ted Cruz stalwarts, so a vote for Trump is also just as doubtful. If Mitt Romney wanted to make an impact, he could just get on the ballot in Utah; he'd be virtually guaranteed the electoral votes here.
