Perhaps this is the only region the Tories hold? I'm using 1997 as a barometer and that may be faulty logic in this election.

This is traditionally Lib Dem territory. I would expect them to pick up seats here.

Unfortunately, not as many as probably should be the case since in some of those former constituencies they've since fallen behind Labour and as such lost their position as the natural tactical vote option. Will be wild to see Labour carrying some of these constituencies in Cornwall and Devon that they really shouldn't have ever been positioned to win.

naturally Labour won the most seats and the Conservatives won the 3rd most seats. Tactical voting!

Really surprised the LibDems didn't place first in the vote totals here.

In the seats they won, they won. In the seats they didn't, they tanked.

I calculated these numbers by hand; hopefully the House of Commons will put out figures for other regions.

the numbers matched with the google sheets numbers (when you sort by region and add them up) [Link]

HOC should have numbers up by Friday or by next week

Appreciate you adding the other regions. Glad I can use an Excel formula accurately.

WOnder why my vote totals here [Link] aren't even close to this?

the formula for the summation has been a bit wonky

for example, on the Hawaii State Senate tab [Link] . There's 4 Republicans. 3 of which were elected unopposed (with the vote totals of 1) to 1 seat and 2 leadership spots and the 4th was elected with 8093 votes.

The Republican total for Hawaii? 7688. Which is the total of the Democratic candidate in that contested race.
