@ E Pluribus Unum, I'm guessing you have good insight into this. Will Bernie run again, and if he doesn't what does the field look like? A similar Independent, or just a regular Vermont Dem?

I personally thought that Bernie has a high likelyhood to retire, but there has been nothing to truly indicate that he will, so everyone is working with the assumption he will run again. But considering the wave of incumbents retiring in the wake of the Feinstein fiasco IDK.

Originally it looked like Welch was waiting to take Bernie's seat like the US House but it looks like the feild may be going to the next generation of Vermont Legislatures. Given Bernies popularity, the person who will succeed him will be close to him ideologically (Especially if Progressive Groups have anything so say about it). Plus Bernie is more than likely to do what he did to Welch and endorse someone day one to make sure the Vermont Dems can't do anything to stop a Bernie-Like Person to win. His four most likely successors are:

1. David Zuckerman (Vermont Progressive/Dem)
2. Tim Ashe (Dem/Vermont Progressive)
3. TJ Donovan
4. Becca Balint (Democrat)

Tho even if none of these 4 want it, Vermont is filled to the brim with Younger Bernies, they can find someone.

It would be interesting to see Zuckerman run and if he does, I hope he runs/serves as a Progressive. It would be cool to see a third party get elected to the Senate, idc what party at this point.

I think that's the only reason why Zuckerman is the top 1 for this race.

A lot of people see him as a younger Bernie in a lot of ways, the only difference being the fact Zuckerman chooses to list Dem as a 2nd ballot line whereas Bernie just refuses the nomination

pretty sure the Matt Hill running for the Senate here isn't the former Dem State Rep ( [Link] ) unless he turned into the winner of the Tim Walz lookalike contest that quickly
