Why is there no incumbent for NH 02 on the House of representative sub category or on the map of CD's

Sununu is vetoing the redistricting maps... [Link]

The Republican plan was a win for Republicans. Making a comfortable Republican district buy removing costal Dem towns from Dist 1 (Pappas) and making it more Republican and then by default making Dist 2 (Kuster) more D.

So what is Sununu looking to accomplish with the veto?

From this [Link] it sounds like he wants two competitive districts instead of 1 D and 1 R District.

The Republican governor's main objection to the map is that he wants both congressional seats to be up for grabs, rather than just having one safe Democratic seat and one safe Republican seat.

Honestly a little surprised, but I actually agree with his veto - the more competitive districts there are, the better it is for the voters.

there's probably a way for the R to put 12 state senate districts in CD1 and 12 in CD2 and get reasonably close to their goal without having one district sprout a tail towards the sea

New Hampshire has had pretty much the same district boundaries since the 1880s and it seems like they could tilt CD1 without messing up that streak too much

The ability to add candidates from the last election might have sped up the process of entering New Hampshire state house races a little (also helps if as many incumbents as possible are running in a primary with 10 winners)

There'll still be filings added to the list for the rest of the week and however much longer it takes. Fortunately NH has a daily filing list to help deduce which candidates just got added to the list (I think the postmark has to be by the 14th for whatever arrives after the 14th)

4 states left. Connecticut, which will post certificates of endorsement whenever they get around to it. Rhode Island and their unique system. Delaware. And the final state filing deadline is Louisiana which is just electing Congressmen and some other offices.
