idk how I didn't realize, but WV is losing a house seat. I wonder how that will pan out.

The State Senate (17 districts, with copying and pasting to make an A & B map) and State House (100 districts for the first time ever) districts have been entered. The filing deadline is on Saturday.
With WV going to all single member districts, the following states have some multimember districts: New Hampshire, Vermont, New Jersey, Maryland, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Arizona.
Out of those, NJ/SD/ND/AZ use the same districts for the state senate and state house (aside from a few splits in South Dakota due to VRA).
Also hopefully most state shapefiles have the districts in numerical order, instead of having to bounce around the file because the file orders the districts by the last edit or whatever.

I did not know this.
In January West Virginia will have 4 different governors in 10 days--
On Jan 3 Gov Jim Justice (R) will leave office to be sworn in as a US Senator.
Current LG/Senate President Craig Blair (R), who lost re-election, will be governor from Jan 3-8.
The winner of GOP caucus race between Sens. Tom Takubo, Randy Smith & Eric Tarr will replace Blair as Senate President/Acting Governor from Jan 8-13.
Newly elected Patrick Morrisey (R) then gets sworn in on Jan 13

And the last time this happened in 2002, the guy who eventually became governor was also from northern Middlesex County, NJ.
Patrick Morrissey should just come out the closet now to save us some time.

took until now for me to notice that the color of the "margin of victory" on officers lists is different in races where the results aren't certified

Contrary to previous information it appears that Justice is delaying the start of his Senate term to finish out his term as Governor.
