He might have been propping up the medals he claimed to have received a bit (don't know the verity of the website but they appear to have the background/FOIA info, but it's good to see those all caps rants again): [Link]

I'm sure the quality of candidates/campaigns posting on here has improved recently, but back in the 2000s/early 2010s, there were some candidates/campaigns posting on here that were pretty much doomed to finish with under 2% or with 0.44% or with 8 votes

Interestingly enough, two formerly active former posters here did make it to elected office- the one from Methuen, MA and even Stephen Yellin won a term on the Berkeley Heights, NJ council in one of the D wave elections.
