| Description | President Putin appointed Kuzmitsky as governor of the new Kamchatka Kray in May 2007 and he was approved by the Kamchatka Oblast assembly by a margin of 34-1 and the Koryak Autonomous Okrug Duma 7-0. Both these regions merged to form the new Kray, which was officially created July 1. |
