Description | Bill Foster will be the 14th District Democratic nominee for congress in November, now without question.
John Laesch, who ran against Foster in the Democratic primary, said Monday he will withdraw his petition for a discovery recount of that election. Foster received fewer than 400 more votes than Laesch, prompting the recount request.
Laesch's campaign filed the request on Friday, asking for a partial recount in precincts in Kane, Kendall, Lee, Whiteside and DeKalb counties, as well as the city of Aurora. |
