Description | Ten-term Pennsylvania Republican George W. Gekas was not supposed to be fighting this fall to save his political career.
At least that is what state and national Republicans thought when they drew a redistricting plan that placed Gekas in a new 17th District with a Democratic House incumbent, five-term Rep. Tim Holden.
But the Republican remappers seem to have either overestimated Gekas' appeal, underestimated Holden's, or both. |
