DescriptionA Dunn dynasty could be in the works.

Reagan Dunn, son of former U.S. Rep. Jennifer Dunn, is Republican officials' top choice to be appointed to a vacant seat on the King County Council.

"I think undoubtedly he will be our number one," said King County Republican Party Chairman Michael Young.

The party must give the council a list of three candidates for the seat left vacant when Republican Rob McKenna took office as state attorney general.

Republican precinct committee officers and other party officials will meet in Factoria on Saturday to vote on a list of three.

Young said yesterday he expected the other two people on the list to endorse Dunn for the job.

Dunn, 33, is an attorney who has worked for the U.S. Justice Department for five years. Most recently he was assigned to the terrorism and violent-crime unit in the Seattle office of the U.S. Attorney.
