| Description | Omaha Mayor Mike Fahey flexed his financial muscles Friday by reporting his campaign chest is flush with nearly $600,000.
The amount of cash Fahey has as he gears up his campaign for the spring election is more than double what he had at this time four years ago as he prepared to take on then-Mayor Hal Daub.
Fahey is in a stronger financial position than Daub was at this point in his re-election campaign. They demolished the spending record in an Omaha mayor's race, with nearly $3 million between them.
