David, 43 is Bournemouth born and married with three children. He attended St Andrews Primary School, Beaufort Secondary School and Bournemouth & Poole College of Further Education before studying Civil Engineering at Hatfield Polytechnic.
He has spent 12 years living and working overseas, mostly in remote parts of Africa where he built roads and dams. He returned home in 1997 and now lives in Strouden Park. David is active in the community where he is a School Governor and member of his local church.
He has recently lead the 'Save the Wave' campaign which tried to stop Bournemouth Council closing the BIC Leisure Pool.
A passionate advocate for a family friendly Bournemouth, David says :-
"I am proud of what Labour has achieved in the last 7 years. Under Labour, Britain has a strong and stable economy, long term unemployment, particularly amongst the young, has virtually been eradicated. I urge the people of Bournemouth East to support Labour."
