| Info | love working with our community, students, and staff and helping them understand the decisions and work we have ahead of us in order to make our schools be the best they can be. I believe that our schools are most successful when there is a strong partnership between the community and schools. Whether you have children in the district or not, we all benefit when our schools are thriving. Please join me at a school board meeting or read the minutes posted online. Get involved by volunteering in a classroom, a school event, or join one of our fabulous PTAs. We’re all busy but we all can find a way to get involved and be engaged in our schools.
I grew up in Mount Vernon, WA but have fond childhood memories of Arlington as both my grandparents and aunt had homes here. I’ve had the pleasure of calling Arlington home since 1998 when my wife began her teaching career at Kent Prairie Elementary. She moved to Pioneer Elementary when it first opened and both our children attended school there as well. Our daughter, Kate (AHS Class of 2021), is a junior at Arlington High School and our son, Luke (AHS Class of 2019), is a freshman at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR.
I’ve worked in the public sector for the past 20 years, leading information technology departments and long-range planning efforts. I have a Master in Business Administration from Seattle University and currently work as the Enterprise Architect for the Snohomish County PUD. In my spare time, I’m active as the Treasurer for the AHS Booster Club, a supporter of the AHS drama and music programs, and a fan of the AHS cross country, track, and girls wrestling teams.
