Info | Regina Birdsell has been serving as a New Hampshire State Representative representing Rockingham 13, which consists of Hampstead and Kingston, since November 2010 and serves as a member of the Election Law Committee.
Regina comes from a military family whose father was a retired Army Lt. Colonel, as are her sister and brother in law. She is a 10-year veteran of the United States Coast Guard, a graduate from Merrimack College in Andover, MA, and a recruiter in the high tech industry.
She entered the United States Coast Guard shortly after graduating from Thomas Dale High School in Chester, VA, where she served in various duty stations in Portsmouth, VA, Petaluma, CA, and Boston, MA.
After completing 10 years of service, Regina left the military and started her civilian career at Raytheon Company in Lexington, MA where she started as an Administrative Assistant for a few years and eventually moved into the Benefits Arena. It was then she decided to return to school and started at Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill, MA where she graduated with an Associates Degree in Business. Upon graduation, she transferred to Merrimack College where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management in 1993, all the while working full time. She was later transferred to Raytheon’s Semiconductor Division in Andover, MA where she was promoted to Human Resources Generalist.
She resigned from Raytheon to move into the Contract Recruiting business. She has recruited for various companies in the high tech industry such as Applied Material, NEXX Systems, and Teradyne in North Reading.
Regina is married with two stepchildren. She is active in the New Hampshire Republican Party where she volunteered for Senator John McCain in the primaries and during the general election and has worked on the special election campaigns for numerous candidates. She is a graduate of the 2009 Vesta Roy Leadership Series and the 2010 Rockingham County winner of the Norris Cotton Award. Regina is also very interested in our military and participates in Soldiers' Angels and attends Pease Greeters as often as possible to greet our military men and women who are returning from and deploying overseas. Regina is a member of Independent Human Resource Consultants Association where she served as the Director of Marketing and a Past President. She was also a member of Poodle Rescue of New England and served as a foster home for abandoned poodles until she recently adopted one of her fosters.
