Info | A third generation Upper East Sider, Benjamin Kallos is a fresh voice with the experience we need for our next City Council member. He would represent the Fifth District, succeeding Councilmember Jessica Lappin, when the seat becomes vacant.
Kallos has spent his career fighting for the people of this great City and State, serving as a union's attorney in the fight to secure its membership's retirement and health benefits, ushering important statewide legislation on construction safety as Chief of Staff for Assemblymember Jonathan L. Bing and helping to protect over 12 million New Yorkers' right to vote through his innovative VoterSearch.org program. As a small business owner, Kallos has worked to improve access to technology in education. He served on Community Board 8 rising to Co-Chair for the Communication Committee, currently serving as the Legal Director for the New York State Young Democrats and Chair of State Coordination for the New York Democratic Lawyers Council.
As your next City Council member, Kallos will fight for our community's issues, open his office to you, provide transparency into our City's government and ensure that he is accountable to you, the people of the Fifth District.
