| Info | Jan J. Zonneveld, age 84, of Pueblo West, died on Jan. 16, 2011. Jan was born in The Netherlands, where he attended universities in Amsterdam and Leiden. He immigrated to Canada in 1955 and to the United States in 1961. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gerrit (Belgium); and sister, Leny (The Netherlands). He is survived by his sister, Jackie "Co" (Canada); four children, Christine (Bill), Daniel (Sabrena), Ernest (Linda), Dick (Woo); 10 grandchildren; his dear lady friend, Evelyn Haling; two nephews, Pieter and Gerrit Zonneveld (United Kingdom); and his lifelong friend, Hans Groenevelt (The Netherlands). Jan loved ballroom dancing (teaching at Fred Astaire and Linn County Community College in Iowa, and the Senior Center in Pueblo) and line dancing. He was a member of the Eagles Fraternity and the S.C.F. Polka Club, and served on the Pueblo District 70 School Board (1999-2003). Informal Celebration of Life to be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, Sandalwood Hall, 3913 Sandalwood Lane, Pueblo, CO 81005.
