Also I just wanna say this cuz I think its kinda funny, the only reason Roy Cooper is not running is because he is so confident he will win, that hhe does not want to give Mark Robinson the Governorship when he does win.
Or he's afraid his narrow wins won't transfer to a Senate race and he doesn't want to forfeit his entire second term as governor to find out.

Couple things rolled into one:
1. The logic of "She's the only one who has won statewide"
2. A potential "Sorry" for backing the boring white guy over the WOC last time
3. Cheri seems to be perfectly suited for the Dem Establishment and the Dems most loyal base (African Americans)
4. Maybe there's still a bit of sourness at Jackson for spilling the beans on the coalescing around Cunningham last time.
