Pueblo (Dem County) isn't reporting yet and Mesa (GOP County) is. Interesting. Hmmmr.

Also interesting that La Plata County/Durango is going 2-1 for Frisch. La Plata is very purplish.

92% now in with Frisch's 8K lead holding. 22% of Dem favorable Pueblo County still out. 9% of GOP favorable Mesa County still out.

Unless those are GOP votes in Pueblo, it looks very likely that Boebert will be going down tonight.

If Boebert loses I'm cracking the champagne. What a hateful b*tch.

Her loss would be a genuine shocker.

But maybe people in this district are like other districts. They expect there representative to at least minimally focus on some district related issues.

Boebert's strategy was to focus on national issues and ditch constituent services staff $$$ for social media advisors.

She may yet survive, but if Frisch does win he would be wise to double down on constituent services and western slope issues when the new Congress convenes.

Frisch's lead narrowed, but the remaining vote is in Democratic counties.

RP: What's with Saguache?

Not that many people there to change I guess. Small county.

Its sorta a strange mix of a place. Lots of Buddhist and Hindu spiritual places, old timey family farms, and of course the touristy Sand Dunes National Monument.

Frisch under 2000 now as Montezuma drops its votes. Waiting on Garfield and Pueblo to drop their votes. These should be Frisch counties. Little bit still out in Boebert Mesa County.

Still be counted, there are still 6000 votes in Pueblo (won by Frisch) and a smaller number in Pitkin (won by Frisch).

Boebert takes her first lead.

But we are still waiting on Pueblo, Garfield, and Pitkin to drop their final votes, which presumably will help Frisch.

Looks like Boebert will win this. Hope she got a scare and will focus more on local issues. Either way she has a bigger target on her back and a stronger Republican will primary her next cycle. Maybe even a stronger Democrat.

Doesn't seem like a narrow R house majority is the most likely hospitable setting for somebody to dedicate themselves to political maturity

Also suspect she won't exactly appreciate how similar the tempo of her victory here was to the Biden victory which she doesn't believe was legit

Grand Junction or Pueblo would be good political bases to run against Boebert if not for most of the district getting TV from Denver. She would have lost this election if the district didn't go as far east as it did in redistricting. Add more of Eagle or keep Routt and drop Otero, and this plays out a little differently.

The last tranche of reported votes helped Frisch to cut his deficit in half.

It seems like all but 3 counties have completed counting. Unless "complete" means there are actually still more votes to count, Frisch will come up short.

I agree. Close but short. Auto recount though.

Donald Valdez and Leroy Garcia must be kicking themselves. Had either one of them been the nominee...the margin in Pueblo County easily would have easily been more than 10 points and it would have been the margin of victory in this race.
