if you want to add jones you can, i personally wouldnt call it outstanding because he was one of the favorites to win to begin with and faced a divided field, but you can if you think its warranted.

Technically his opponent Adam Schleifer was more of a big loser as he was the son of a Pharma guy who spent $5,197,000 of his own money and sent mailers up the wazoo and lost.

Both outstanding and crappiest are going to be tough for me this year as it has been such an extraordinary year.

America is such a divided electorate, that winning the second largest popular vote share in 30 years and picking off Georgia and Arizona, as well as rebuilding the blue wall, combined with his primary win is enough for me. Ardern is in a tiny country with an incredibly elastic electorate.

Yeah, add who you want. Include a link if possible to let people know your reason for nominating that individual. That link could be the OC race page if the nomination is for electoral success. There's a preliminary nomination round that requires multiple nominations to get on the ballot. This guards against a user nominating someone just because they like him/her (in the case of OPotY) or just because they hate him/her (in the case of CPotY).

Point of order: (Point of odor, Lisa stinks!) Should Anthony Fauci truly be considered a politician? Not to say his work this year (or any other year) shouldn't be honored, but his work seems more inline with a scientist, albeit one who works in the federal government. It would seem to me that this poll is of someone in or who ran for an elected office of high quality, well performed, and/or one with a strong profile in courage.

Part of Fauci's role is political. He did a pretty good job of navigating the politics between informing the public and not having Trump fire him. That took political skill. But yes, not a politician.
