If we only nominate progressive Democrats, then we will never be a majority party ever again. We must be a big tent party to survive. All parties must do so. We see Republicans dying out in places like Orange County because they are refusing to moderate and nominate candidates that can appeal beyond the party base.

Elections have consequences and you have to walk into the voting booth as a big picture voter--at least I believe this to be so and I respect others for different.
But for me, I come back to those center and left of center voters who swore themselves to be "Never Hillary" voters and either stayed home, wrote in a vote, or chose third party. Stein's vote totals were larger than Hillary's popular vote total loss in MI, WI and PA. I voted Bernie in the primary, but Hillary in the general. Left of center people who contend she would be just as bad as Trump I just fail to understand. We are now throwing away two Senate seats, among other things we have witnessed, because of such a deeply flawed logic.
