Meuser opting not to run was probably the smartest decision of his life. Why throw away a safe seat in the House to run for governor in an election the Republican nominee is all but assured to lose.
-Ofer Cassif was almost impeached [Link]
-Hadash's Political Headquarters was raided [Link]
-Balad has been on and off banned from running in Isreali elections [Link]
-Ayman Odeh was shot by the Isreali Police (who lied about doing it) [Link]
But remember....ITS NOT AN APARTHEID STATE AT ALL, the Arab MK's are treated JUST AS WELL as the Jewish ones
BigZuck08: I can see this going 3 different ways
Way 1: Silwa drops out, endorses Adams. Cuomo and other establishment types endorse Adams to block Mamdani, this works, and Adams skates by and wins re-election
Way 2: Silwa drops out, endorses Adams. BUT however due to Adams having close ties with Trump and him no longer having the Dem label (unlike Mamdani), enough people who didnt vote Mamdani in the primary come home in November, Mamdani skates by
Way 3: Silwa stays in, the right-wing/moderate vote is split, Mamdani wins easily
I agree but I also feel like I could see a scenario where Walden could put in a pretty good showing, especially if the Cuomo money heads his way or maybe some high profile endorsements
BigZuck08: Curious to see what the "concerned moderates" and the establishment in the Democrat Party do......Rep. Laura Gillen anti-endorsed, while Rep. Jerry Nadler, Sen. Chuck Schumer, and Gov. Kathy Hochul seem to be on the Mamdani train.
It seems like the voters don't give a rat's ass about who the Democratic establishment thinks they should vote for.
I've always found it a bit creepy and disrespectful when the handlers of a politicians social media accounts continue posting after their deaths. Connolly isn't the first time. Someone did the same thing with Sylvester Turner's account - going to the extent of supporting the Houston Astros baseball team.
Not sure there is a real benefit to doing this and the down side seems greater than any possible upside.
Jason: Props to Mamdani for keeping his eye on the ball with respect to bread and butter issues. I'm sure he probably buys in to a lot of the unpopular culture war stuff that the online left is fixated on but that never came up; or at least he never took the bait if it did.
Unlike ur guy, Mamdani actually prioritizes New York and not a foreign country committing a mass genocide.
Not really a winning strategy for MAYOR of NEW YORK CITY
