My favorite part out of all of this is the fact that Trump is pissed that Biden, y'know, did the thing that he said he was going to do and never did? Admittedly, he did make process with the Doha Accords and such, but I genuinely don't want to hear from Trump that it was 'humiliating'. That just says to me he had absolutely zero intention of actually ending the forever wars. Ending a war isn't a 'strong' thing. You're leaving because you never succeeded at the goal you set, which in Afganistan's case there was no goal after Bin Laden died; it was just an excuse to boost defense spending. Anyways it isn't humiliating to save American soldiers lives.
It has been amusing though to see all the MAGA Trump supporters that I used to agree with on pulling out of Afghanistan suddenly go full Dick Cheney 'stay forever' because Biden did the thing instead of Trump. Politics in this country, on both sides, is forever poisoned by hyper-partisanship and the culture war.
You can complain about the way it was done, sure. I didn't particularly like the video I saw of Afghans falling off of US planes mid-flight. But we got out. It was never going to go 'well', the entire military-industrial complex was against pulling out and REFUSED to put any plans in place for it. Blame the Department of Defense and the warmongers, not Biden. He's one man, just like Trump was.

I'm not quite sure, but I think they're relatively accurate from my personal perspective. If you think about the history of Virginia, it used to be a reliably GOP state, but due largely to demographic shifts and suburban DC expansion it leans DEM now. Well, when you take in the fact that Biden entered office 7 months ago, and the 2022 midterms are coming up next year, it's not surprising that a state like Virginia would be close due to heightened GOP turnout and lowered Dem. enthusiasm. I hope McAuliffe wins, and I think he will, but if Youngkin takes it in the end, I won't be surprised nor upset. The House Dems just released the fact that they're down 6 points in their US House internal polling. That means when factoring in for the House prediction blunder by the media in 2020, and the fact it's a democrat internal and skews left, Republicans could easily be up +10 with generic GOP vs DEM candidates. I'm getting strong 2010 Tea Party vibes for 2021 and 2022 especially.

E Pluribus Unum: Wouldn't say that, but he's in like top tier of US Senators ATM
Yeah that's very true, but I just think of Kennedy as his term-limiter until we can get it into law.

BrentinCO: Yes.
Interesting man to base a party off of. It seems that he's really just quoted him on the front page because it seems that he 'supports colonizing the moon and mars' which is actually pretty interesting. I'd hope he knew about the... 'other' things that LaRouche was known for, and maybe quote someone else. Is that genuinely the only reason that the 'LaRouche Was Right' party exists?

A Markey fan, I suppose?

Black Lives Matter DOES NOT equal lack of support of the police. It brings awareness to police brutality. No-one should have to choose between 911 or Black Lives Matter. I'm surprised it happened in Douglas County, as it voted for Hillary in 2016.

Hello! I'm new here. During this quarantine, I figured I'd get a new hobby. I read all parts of the "About" tab, and just wondered what exactly you're looking for in the Discussion sections of different races, news, primaries, etc. Am I providing insight to guests, or am I trying to strike up a conversation with other members on the topic. Thanks y'all!

Is Burke REALLY referring to Lyndon LaRouche? That one anti-semitic conspiracy theorist/extremist guy? I'll have to keep a closer eye on New Jersey politics I guess... lol

That's politics. Always trying to get the upper hand over others. Kennedy should have been more careful, however, this probably won't hurt him THAT much (hopefully).
