Pretty good victory for Alsobrooks here, she really surged in the final few weeks.

Luzerne County Historian: I'm surprised Ficker did as well as he did, given his track record. Anti-Hogan/Pro Trump vote I guess?
Yeah, basically. There's a large contingent of Republicans that view him as a RINO and would rather nominate a no-name MAGA candidate that would lose by 30 points instead of a popular former governor that has a chance of at least making the race close.
It's a dumb mentality and it has cost Republicans numerous winnable races in battleground states (2022 being the prime example).

Anyone know why the map isn't displaying on the 1825, 1826 and 1827 gubernatorial races despite there being county data entered for all of them?

RBH: sort of an interesting primary for Allred almost reaching 60% despite not really doing much of anything in South Texas.
Could just be that the D primary electorate in Texas is more white and suburban than it was in the past, which helped Allred to the detriment of the Hispanic candidates.
Looking at the total votes map for the 2012 primary for this seat helps illustrate this, as some Rio Grande counties cast about as much votes as Harris, Travis, Dallas, etc. That is not the case here.

Jason: I mean this state did just elect J.D. Vance. There are states where being MAGA is a liability but I'm not sure Ohio is one of them.
I agree, Moreno being tied to Trump, who will likely easily carry this state in November, is a net positive. He might crash and burn in the suburbs but they don't make up much of the electorate in this state anyway. This isn't Arizona or Georgia.
The bigger problem for Rs is that Moreno is an untested candidate that never would have gone anywhere without Trump's support. Does he have some potential scandals we don't know about yet that will rear their ugly heads in the lead-up to November? Will he prove so repulsive as a candidate that not even Trump could drag him across the finish line? We'll find out soon enough, Moreno has many potential flaws as a candidate, but being a "MAGA crazy" is not one of them.

RBH: Anyways, I think all the Pres/Gov/Sen county stuff has been switched over pre-1976. There might be some primaries not switched over.
Silver Bow still isn't displaying properly on these early gubernatorial races though. It's also not displaying properly on some of the presidential races either, i.e. the 1892, 1904, 1908 & 1920 races, along with most FDR elections.

I guess I could just put the results from Silver Bow in the description for years where it's unavailable.
By the way, for gubernatorial elections from 1912 to 1972, Butte-Silver Bow has data entered for it and it appears on the map, unlike here; but, weirdly, it doesn't appear to be available in the map editor until 1976 despite it appearing normally on the map itself.

Removed Low's checkmark because Simitian has narrowly overtaken him for second place again per NYT. I wouldn't recommend giving anybody but Liccardo the checkmark until all votes are in. This is extremely close.

Haley is at about 40% of the vote in DeKalb and Fulton per NYT. Pretty insane considering she dropped out, though maybe not considering Atlanta's animosity towards Trump. For comparison, Haley is getting 34% in Kings County, WA (78% reporting, might change) despite it being a bit bluer than Fulton.
Trump does not appear to be underperforming his statewide margin too much in Cobb, Gwinett, etc though.

RP: In the future, it would be good to post on the page that has the problematic link and refer to the section of the page that has the problematic link.
Yeah, sorry about that. I can see how posting about the problem here caused some confusion.
So, any idea why these races aren't appearing correctly? The 1868 general election is also not appearing, in addition to the 1865 one.

I can access all the races on this page as well, that's not the problem. I provided the link to the 1865 appointment, below "next general election" it should show the 1865 general election. But for me it shows the 1868 appointment, thereby making the 1865 general election hidden when not browsing through this specific page.

So you're able to access the 1865 election (AND the 1865 appointment) through the link I provided in the message above? Odd, not sure why it's not working for me.

Anyone know why some races appear to be hidden? Like, the 1865 gubernatorial election is accessible through this page but when you click on the June 13th, 1865 appointment [Link] it skips straight to the 1868 appointment and not the 1865 election like it's supposed to.

According to the results on NYT, Biden is struggling a bit in the Rio Grande Valley and is losing support to the no-name Hispanic Dems running, only getting 40% to 60% in these counties. Should be an interesting deviation map when the county results are added.
