LSwisso: Fischer's gonna win. How is it that Ricketts is safe but Fischer is in some trouble ?. Nebrasksa is a realiably red state and Fischer should not be in any trouble.

After 10 years in the Senate, she became the 2nd most senior Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Dan Osborn (Fischer's opponent) is not a Democrat but an Independent and polling shows it being close.

However, after Utah's 2022 Senate Race and Kansas's 2014 senate race with the way those turned out, I'm not expecting a Fischer win by less than 6-9 points.

LSwisso: I've been viewing this website for a long time and I just started commenting. My comments often get me in hot water, which is why I'm glad I didn't start commenting during the campaigns of multiple key elections years ago.

Well, welcome to the forum. I look forward to your contributions. It's just always good to think about what you say before you post it. Like to be honest, comparing Palestinians to Chickens is probably not a very good start....

Debate that leaves both parties thinking about the other point of view and doesn't involve personal attacks is healthy. Try not to engage in personal attacks, and if the other person is doing it stop engaging. I'm able to get along with people on both sides of the political spectrum, because although I feel strongly about certain issues, I try to communicate in a way that respects their views while also explains my position and why I feel that way.

BrentinCO: Looks like Poe is the last candidate standing. Wimberly dropped today. Presumably Khairullah will not be announcing.

Knowing this now I changed my prediction to safe Poe. But watch it be my luck that someone else actually gets picked....

Besides, what better way to celebrate the incumbent Republican mayor's birthday than for him to have a guaranteed Democrat successor?

Wouldn't be shocked if either the Lt Gov (Primavera) or the AG (Weiser) runs here. Lt Gov and AG are seen as natural successors to Governors, and in so many cases do Lt Govs and AGs try to run for Governor.

You'd think Morrison would at least get second in Jackson (Kansas City) given he's from there and Quade and Hamra are from Greene (Springfield).

This is the first Democratic mayor win in Tulsa since 2006. And what's really interesting is that there was only one major Republican (VanNorman) and two major Democrats (Nichols and Keith), so you'd think VanNorman would've gotten a spot.

A Black Trump supporter who worked for this organization claims he was discriminated against and called a "slave", and then fired after complaining about it.

Luzerne County Historian: <q 11714="">It's pretty intriguing to see that she went from endorsing left-wing Democrats to endorsing right-wing Republicans within the span of a year.

Hard right too. She's not endorsing the Don Bacons Brian Fitzpatricks of the world who are running for Congress.

Yeah. She went from endorsing Bernie Sanders/Nina Turner to endorsing Donald Trump/Joe Kent...

Pretty good development for the CO GOP if they want their odds of winning a statewide (or even a competitive race in a competitive district) race to not be zero. Still very slim, but not zero.

BrentinCO: Removed from office by a vote of 161.66-12 this past weekend.

How did they get 161.66 votes to unseat him?

The national GOP should feel really lucky that this guy isn't their nominee in an important race where they actually had a realistic chance of winning.

Happy birthday to the best Republican Governor that my state has ever had in recent times. He's one of the few Republicans here in Pennsylvania who I would absolutely consider voting for now and who I would vote for in his previous elections if I was a voter at that time.

IndyGeorgia: Hey ZT08, thanks for helping add results on races. Make sure you don't jump the gun in hitting the "certified" button on races. Many times, mail-in and provisional ballots are counted a couple days after Election Day and can alter the results. Also, make sure to use the official SoS or election commission page as your source. While local newspapers produce results, they are sometimes inaccurate. Thanks again!

No problem! Thank you for telling me. I will remember this in the future.

Luzerne County Historian: <q 11714="">Dahlstrom dropping out certainly helps Begich, so I updated my prediction accordingly from Lean to Slight Peltola. I still think Peltola has enough Republican appeal to win but by a narrower margin.

It's so weird that a Lt. Gov of a state would drop out in favor of a guy running on his last name in a party that did not elect members of his family.

She probably did it because she got third in the blanket primary, which is an embarassing underperformance given that she is already a statewide official whereas Begich ran for this seat twice before and lost both times. Not to mention she had the Trump endorsement.

E Pluribus Unum: So Salisbury and Howe are in?

I assumed the reason why we were waiting to add them was because the 2 were having issues ballot wise, but since they are both going to move on (assumedly), they can be added?

No one has called the fourth slot yet and NYT says 88% of the vote is in while DDHQ only says 80%, so IDK.

Man they're just SO desperate. They are literally throwing EVERYTHING at her. I have been getting so much flyers in the mail about how Harris is freeing murders and is a communist and is this and is that and it's just a bunch of lies.

November's going to be glorious (if Harris wins).

I'm hoping these polls are accurate and it's a blowout for Stein similar to PA Gov 2022. But I'm not exactly holding my breath here. I still think it'll be close but Stein will come out on top.

I mean I know Burt was a Libertarian just 2 years before but you'd think he'd do a little bit better than 88 votes.
