Unfortunately the engineer in me first tried solving the first question as a system of equations with algebra and variables and was unsuccessful as I couldn't get the variables to all cancel out.

Do you think its a fair to compare the modern QAnon movement with the Anti-Mason movement?

There are many similarities...many differences, but I'm struck by the number of similarities.
- right wing reactionary movement
- distrust of elites
- addressing the displacement of individuals by rapid economic development
- for protective tariffs

An interesting thing about the Anti-Masonic movement has to do with the elites. Andrew Jackson started his own conspiracy that the elites kept him out of office in 1825. The Anti-Masons turned the tables on him by saying that he was one of the elites conspiring to control the lives of other Americans.
So to some degree the QAnon would be a better comparison if QAnon was a Democratic conspiracy.

Having said that, though, the parallels are rather striking.

In times like this I find comfort in history. Seems like the more things change...the more they seem to stay the same.

the QAnon stuff sorta grew out of the Pizzeria stuff (which was a bit of a call-back to the Franklin CFCU accusations of the late 80s). Some of these current things are sorta like the Birchers too.

The problems are that the internet has vastly amplified the audience size while at the same time leaders are encouraging people to believe conspiracies.

Andrew Jackson started his own conspiracy that the elites kept him out of office in 1825.
Then again, Andrew Jackson is one of the few political figures Donald Trump has consistently expressed admiration for, past or present, who isn't a tinpot dictator.
