| Description |
Joe Biden, the original presumptive Democratic nominee, was not going to make the ballot due to the Democratic National Convention occurring past Ohio's August 7th deadline to receive the notification that he is officially nominated. To combat that, the DNC decided to hold a roll call of delegates virtually before the formal convention. The Ohio Legislature passed a bill on June 1 to extend the deadline and signed into law the next day, but the DNC still held the virtual roll call to select its nominee (which ended up being Vice President Harris due to Biden dropping out before the convention).
Jill Stein's votes in Ohio were ruled as invalid and were rejected by the state canvassing board. Her unofficial tally was 14,833 votes.
