| Description |
The only contested slot in the Democratic Primary was for a Queen Anne's County Delegate as the other candidates' home counties were not duplicated. At the time of this election, W. Edwin Cole (then a resident of Queenstown) and John Ashley (Centreville) were both from Queen Anne's County.
Maryland law states that if a legislative district consists of three or more counties, no more than one delegate from a county may be elected.
