Somalia's lower house on April 12, 2021 voted 149-3 to extend President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed's term by two years [Link]
Somalia agreed on an 'indirect' presidential election to take place on October 10, 2021 wherein "clan elders will now pick lawmakers in September, who will then vote for a president on the new date" [Link] The results take immediate effect.
