| Description |
18 years ago Fred Madden beat State Senator George Geist 63 votes. Since then republicans have abandoned any effort to oust Madden who is now Chair of the Labor Committee.
Republicans chose Steve Parkradrooni a resident of Gloucester county who ran for Assembly in 2019 losing by 6 points.
In 2020 Donald Trump lost all but one municipality in this district and a similar defeat for republicans seems likely to occur in November.
