I don't know if people are still interested in this site race but since the day is half gone it might be good to postpone the voting until tomorrow or at least have the poll end tomorrow.

Where is the poll where we can vote?

The poll hasn't been posted. I thought that since no one got it posted at the specified time that we should at least have a discussion about polling hours before the poll gets posted. How would users feel if someone posts the poll around 5pm today to end at the same time tomorrow? I don't know if Zeus is open to doing this, but as the current OC President I think it would be good for him to post the poll for the upcoming election. It would be good to have someone specified to do this rather than having two people post it simultaneously and then have to discuss which one is official.

I'm going to go with the poll AN62190 posted already, but as a matter of procedure going forward Chronicler's suggestion sounds like a good one.

Not that anyone cares, but here is my case for the election of Fernando Mercado / E Pluribus Unum as President of Ourcampaigns. When selecting a President of Our Campaigns, I don't believe the choice should be restricted to party preference. I think a great president is someone that is passionate about politics and making contributions to the website. One year ago I wouldn't have seen myself supporting Fernando. We are almost polar opposites on most issues of the day. But in the last year I have learned more about his interest in historical politics and his contributions as a curator of original content on YouTube and the Independent Political Report. Perhaps more importantly his tireless research in these areas have found its way on OurCampaigns as contributions to the value of this website. I've come to respect his contributions. The details of his research paint the colorful picture of a campaign which are realized in the numerical results we love as data nerds. His contributions allow me to slow down and think about campaigns beyond the numbers. If you haven't had a chance to listen to his original content, I highly recommend viewing / listening to his Elecciones Presidenciales en la historia Mexicana on his YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLvWZq5L6f9Ts7fS0Yu_rGsMtOT9mD6bVk . I bet you will come away learning a few things that you didn't know before. Fernando, like a true socialist, is incredibly consistent and predictable - an unrelenting purist to his political theology. Consistency and predictability seem like a good qualities for someone that is granted additional access. For these reasons and others, I will be casting my vote for Fernando Mercado and encourage you to consider/reconsider casting your vote for him as well.

I believe I should be elected to a second non-consecutive term because there's more to accomplish. Under my leadership, OurCampaigns thrived and boomed with user engagement and if I am elected, I believe that will continue to grow. As someone who has been in love with politics since I was a 9 year old kid, this website is one that I've always dreamed of. When I discovered this website in 2011, I learned so much that I didn't know before. With contributions to predicting percentages to predicting winners with an 83.88% mark, I believe that my creativity and hopefulness will make this website the best it's ever been. RP, you continue to do an outstanding job with this website and you deserve a lot of credit. I wish my friends Fernando Mercado and Dr. Cynic the best of luck in this race and I respect both of them equally. As someone who's been volunteering with campaigns lately, written letters to politicians Republican and Democrat, and writing articles in support of my candidate for POTUS, creativity and user engagement of this website will be my main goals if I am so honored to be elected President of OurCampaigns and I hope if elected to prove to all of you my effectiveness in this effort. Thank you all for your contributions and for keeping this website as great as it is.

I think either of the others in the race would do a fine job and continue to make high quality contributions to the site. I can only say, that I am proud of all the growing this site has done in the time period following the infamous shut down that took place several years ago. I can only promise to try and continue to make worthwhile contributions whether I win or not. I wish the other two good luck as we move forward.
